What changes the price of a porta potty rental?
Five things set the price of a porta potty rental: the delivery distance from Willits, the unit type, the rental length, how often it is serviced, and how many units you order. Same-day orders add a rush fee. Orders of 3 or more units, or longer jobs, usually lower the per-unit price.
- Distance. Inside Willits, delivery and pickup typically total $75 to $95. Ukiah, Laytonville and Redwood Valley run a little more. Coast, Lake County and Sonoma County deliveries cost more because of drive time.
- Unit type. Sinks, flushing, accessibility and trailers each cost more than a standard unit.
- Rental length. Event pricing covers up to 3 days. Longer rentals bill every 28 days.
- Service frequency. Weekly service is included on 28-day rentals. Each extra visit typically costs $45 to $75.
- Quantity. Each added unit at the same address costs less to deliver than the first.
What does "monthly" mean on a porta potty invoice?
"Monthly" on a porta potty invoice means a 28-day billing cycle, not a calendar month. A unit delivered March 3 bills again on March 31. Thirteen cycles make a year. Each cycle includes four weekly services. Billing stops on the day the unit is picked up, not at the end of a cycle.
What is included in an itemized quote?
An itemized porta potty quote lists five lines: the unit rental for the stated period, the delivery charge, the pickup charge, any extra service visits or rush fee, and sales tax. The total at the bottom is the amount charged. Nothing else is added for fuel, card fees or "environmental" fees.
| Line on your quote | Hypothetical example: 1 standard unit, 1 weekend, Willits |
|---|---|
| Unit rental, up to 3 days | $195.00 |
| Delivery | $45.00 |
| Pickup | $40.00 |
| Extra service | $0.00 |
| Sales tax | Calculated on taxable lines |

How do I keep the cost down?
Keep porta potty costs down by booking 2 or more days ahead to avoid the rush fee, choosing Friday-to-Monday weekend delivery, ordering the right number of units the first time, and placing units within 25 feet of the truck so no extra labor is needed. Long jobs can drop to every-other-week service if the crew is small.

Pricing and billing questions
Why do some companies quote a low price and add fees later?
Some quotes leave out delivery, pickup, fuel, environmental fees or tax. Ask for an all-in number. Our quotes list unit, delivery, pickup, service and tax on separate lines and total them.
Is the rental price the same for 1 day and 3 days?
Event pricing covers up to 3 days on site, so 1 day and 3 days cost the same. Rentals longer than a week move to weekly or 28-day pricing.
Does the price change after 6 months?
The 28-day rate stays the same for the length of the job unless the service frequency changes. Long-term accounts can ask for a written rate lock.
How do I pay?
We accept major credit and debit cards. Contractors with an account can pay by invoice. Card fees are never added on top of the quote.
Is there a cancellation fee?
Cancel before the truck is dispatched and there is no charge. A trip fee applies if the driver has already left the yard. Restroom trailer deposits follow the rental terms.
